  • Is my inventory too large (or too small) for Prompt?
    Prompt Distribution’s Customers range from small E-Tailers with a handful of products to International Companies for whom Prompt manages inventories with thousands of SKUs. Large or small, your inventory can find a good home at Prompt.
  • Can Prompt handle Containerised deliveries?
    Our 4.25 acre Somerton site has the capacity to receive multiple 20’ or 40’ Containers (by side loader) either inside our building or on the large, concreted aprons around the building. With 7 on grade roller doors it won’t take long to have your containers de-stuffed and the stock put away in our efficient warehouse.
  • Am I covered for any loss or damage of my items in transit?
    The simple answer is No. Freight companies do not provide any guarantees about the safe delivery of any consignment. Unless prior arrangements are made and agreed upon by the owner and the freight company, the owner will need to rely on their own Transit (or Marine) Insurance to protect against any loss or damage.
  • Are my items safe at Prompt?
    Prompt have a securely fenced site and our modern building is locked outside our operating hours. In addition Prompt has multiple internal and external CCTV cameras and back to base alarm systems deployed to ensure the safety of your items. So, yes, your items are safe with us.
  • Are my items insured at Prompt?
    As a responsible business Prompt maintain insurance policies that have significant provisions for loss in the case of fire or theft, however your items will not specifically be insured and in the unlikely event of a major incident involving the loss or destruction of your stock we do not guarantee that you will be covered. Prompt recommend that you take out business insurance on your stock to ensure that you are sufficiently covered.
  • Are there any fixed costs?
    Prompt do charge a small monthly account fee, but other than that all our charges are based around the services you use.
  • What kinds of items can I store at Prompt?
    Basically you can store anything with us that is not classified as Dangerous Goods or requires refridgeration. There are some types of items that may need to be reviewed prior to receiving that may not work well with our warehousing setup, such as extra long or tall items.
